The Siem Reap Food Bank will help any family in genuine need. However, priority is given to families living with disabilities, single-parent families and the elderly. We deliver monthly food care packs directly to families or via other community organisations.

Initially, the families supported by the SRFB were people who were members of the AFTV Projects: AFTV Retail Shop, Full Belly Farm and Workshops & Wheels. However, as the COVID crises unfolded it became apparent there was a need for food support throughout the broader community of Siem Reap.

For AFTV families we provide monthly food packs for 6 months and then we review each families needs.

AFTV Artisans

Ability Fair Trade Village (AFTV) is a not-for-profit fair-trade social enterprise that sells high quality, locally made art and crafts with a focus on recycled or eco-friendly  materials and packaging. Our aim is to provide a platform for developing sustainable livelihoods for people with disabilities living in Siem Reap and to further a culture of access and inclusion in the community as discrimination is still a significant problem in Cambodia.

Full Belly Farm Families

Full Belly Farm (FBF) is a small wheelchair accessible organic urban farm in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The farm provides residents with an opportunity to take control of their lives and to create a meaningful future for themselves and their families. It is a nurturing environment that sows the seeds of dignity, cultivates hope and harvests empowerment.

Workshops & Wheels Families

Workshops & Wheels (W&W) is a new project that was in start-up phase when the COVID-19 pandemic broke out. The purpose of the project is to support tuk-tuk drivers living with disabilities and their familes. Workshops & Wheels is not a tour company, it is a group of independent tuk tuk drivers working collaboratively to help people discover the rich and diverse local culture of Cambodia. We hope to implement this project when it is safe to travel the world again.

Other Families

Families referred to us by other organisations are assessed and provided with monthly food packs on a short-term basis subject to the availability of funds.

Throughout 2020 we assisted over 200 people in need of food security and we will endeavour to continue helping as many people as we can within the limits of the resources available to us.
