Ross and Martin are Bracelets for Buildings Ambassadors and one of their jobs this trip is to help celebrate the construction of the 3 new homes for the Homes4Grannies project.
This project is a global collaboration between Bracelets for Buildings, Building Communities Cambodia and Ability Fair Trade Village. Over the past few months we have been fundraising to build 6 new homes for 6 grannies who have been relocated from Angkor Wat Park to the new Run Ta Ek village. You can read more about this project on the Homes4Grannies website.
The 3rd home will be finished today (7/2) and we can only imagine how wonderful the grannies must feel to own a plot of land and a house for the first time in their life.
Naret travelled with Ross, Bill and Martin to Run Ta Ek village on Sunday for the Blessing ceremony for house number 2, now owned by Grandma Moeun. Travelling by Tuk Tuk it is easy to enjoy the scenery along the way.
First stop a local shop near Grandma Rouen’s place (house number 3) to buy a soccer ball. What does a soccer ball have to do with a house ceremony? Lol…keep reading
